How We Got the Client
Harvest & Hearth Kitchen came to us through a local business networking group where their owner had been asking other restaurant owners how they were growing their social followings. Word got back to us and we reached out with a short audit of their Instagram and Facebook accounts, highlighting the gap between the quality of their food and atmosphere and what their social media was actually showing the world.
The restaurant had warm lighting, beautifully plated dishes, and a genuinely compelling story behind it, but their social media barely reflected any of that. Sporadic phone photos, zero Reels, and almost no community interaction. We showed them what was possible with the right creative and content strategy, and the conversation moved quickly from there.
What We Ensure in the Client Meeting
Before starting any social media project for a hospitality brand, we run a structured onboarding meeting to align on brand personality, content direction, and what we are actually trying to achieve. For Harvest & Hearth Kitchen, this meeting covered:
- ✓ Understanding the restaurant’s story, values, and what makes it different from competitors
- ✓ Full access review: Instagram, Facebook, existing photo and video library
- ✓ Identifying hero dishes, seasonal menus, and upcoming events to build campaigns around
- ✓ Defining the target audience: locals, food enthusiasts, date-night diners, private event planners
- ✓ Agreeing on content approval process so nothing goes live without sign-off
- ✓ Setting success metrics: engagement rate, follower growth, reach, and reservation-linked link-in-bio clicks
For restaurants especially, social media is often the first impression a potential customer gets before they decide whether to book a table. Getting brand voice and visual direction fully aligned before producing any content meant that everything published genuinely represented the experience waiting inside.
Project Overview
Harvest & Hearth Kitchen is a farm-to-table restaurant known for seasonal menus, warm interiors, and a community-first dining philosophy. The restaurant had a loyal regular clientele and strong word-of-mouth locally, but its social media presence was not doing justice to the experience the team worked so hard to deliver every service.
The goal of the project was to build a consistent, visually compelling social media presence across Instagram and Facebook that reflected the quality and character of the restaurant, grew an engaged online community, and extended the brand’s reach to new local audiences who had not yet discovered it.
Before Performance: Where They Started

At this stage, the restaurant was posting sporadically, mostly using phone photos taken during service, with no Reels, no content calendar, no community engagement strategy, and no influencer or local creator relationships in place. Posts were reaching only a tiny fraction of existing followers, and the accounts were barely growing month on month.
The Challenge
Before working together, Harvest & Hearth Kitchen faced a set of problems common to independent restaurants trying to grow on social media:
- ✓ No consistent posting schedule, with weeks sometimes passing between updates
- ✓ No professional food photography or video content to showcase the actual dining experience
- ✓ No Reels or short-form video content, missing the highest-reach format on both platforms
- ✓ Comments and DMs left unanswered, creating a poor impression for interested potential diners
- ✓ No local creator or influencer partnerships to bring new audiences into the brand’s orbit
Our Strategy
We built a full social media strategy for Harvest & Hearth Kitchen across Instagram and Facebook, combining professional visual content, active community management, a structured content calendar, and local influencer partnerships.
- ✓ Instagram & Facebook Content Management
- ✓ Professional Food Photography & Reels
- ✓ Community Engagement & Inbox Management
- ✓ Content Calendar & Campaign Planning
- ✓ Influencer & Local Creator Partnerships
- ✓ Monthly Social Media Performance Reporting
1. Instagram & Facebook Content Management
We took over full management of both platforms, publishing on a consistent optimized schedule, managing Stories, and keeping both accounts active and on brand every single day, so there were no more long silences between posts.
2. Professional Food Photography & Reels
We produced professional food photography and short-form Reels that captured the atmosphere, craftsmanship, and personality of Harvest & Hearth Kitchen, giving the brand the visual quality its food and setting had always deserved and giving the algorithm the video content it rewards with reach.
3. Community Engagement & Inbox Management
We implemented a proactive community engagement approach, responding to every comment and DM promptly, engaging with local food accounts and potential diners in the area, and creating the kind of warm, responsive online presence that matched the hospitality the restaurant was known for in person.
4. Content Calendar & Campaign Planning
We built a monthly content calendar mapping every post, Reel, and Story across both platforms, with campaigns planned around seasonal menu changes, special events, local food occasions, and key dates in the dining calendar to keep content timely and relevant.
5. Influencer & Local Creator Partnerships
We identified and managed partnerships with local food bloggers, lifestyle creators, and community influencers whose audiences matched Harvest & Hearth Kitchen’s ideal diner profile, coordinating visits, content briefs, and posting schedules to maximize authentic reach in the local market.
6. Monthly Social Media Performance Reporting
Every month, the Harvest & Hearth team received a clear performance report covering reach, engagement rate, follower growth, top-performing content, and influencer campaign results, with content direction adjusted each month based on what was resonating most with their audience.
The Results: Before vs After
Within the engagement period, Harvest & Hearth Kitchen saw significant, measurable growth across both Instagram and Facebook. Here is the direct before and after comparison.
| Metric (Both Platforms) | Before | After | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Campaign Reach | Minimal | 5.1M | 5.1M total reach |
| Average Engagement Rate | 0.7% | 3.2%+ | 356% increase |
| Total Followers | 3,100 | 21,100+ | 18K+ new followers |
“People used to find us by word of mouth. Now they find us on Instagram first, come in because of what they saw online, and then tell their friends. Our social media finally looks like what we actually are.” — Harvest & Hearth Kitchen
Key Takeaway
Harvest & Hearth Kitchen’s growth came from treating social media as a genuine extension of the dining experience: professional visuals that made food look as good online as it did on the plate, consistent posting that kept the brand front of mind, active community management that made followers feel welcomed before they even walked through the door, and local creator partnerships that introduced the restaurant to thousands of new potential diners. For independent restaurants, this is what turns a quiet social presence into a consistent source of new covers and lasting brand recognition.
